Anna is a certified reading specialist and teacher with experience working with students in pre-kindergarten through sixth grade. She graduated with her Master’s degree in Reading Education from Vanderbilt’s Peabody College and Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Carolina.

 

Anna worked as a tutor and Clinic Academic Coordinator supervising and mentoring graduate students tutoring in the Vanderbilt Reading Clinic. She also worked on a federally funded research project at Vanderbilt University coaching teachers in Metro Nashville Public Schools on best practices for language and literacy. She has taught various elementary grades and has worked as a reading specialist with students who have dyslexia and language learning disorders for the past four years.

 

Anna is trained in both the Wilson Reading System and Orton-Gillingham approach. She currently provides individualized reading and writing support for all students in grades kindergarten through sixth grade. She is passionate about all learners falling in love with reading and making learning engaging and exciting for all students.
